CarFit can help improve safety and comfort behind the wheel by providing a quick and easy check of how well you and your vehicle work together. At a CarFit event, trained volunteers and professionals offer tips on adjustments like seat height, steering wheel positioning, and mirror alignment - all to help you to feel more secure behind the wheel. Attending a CarFit event is an easy, proactive step towards safe driving, especially during Older Driver Safety Awareness Week. Show your commitment to road safety by scheduling a free CarFit checkup and discovering helpful resources to support your mobility independence.

Through community events, online resources, and programs like CarFit, Older Driver Safety Awareness Week offers practical ways for older drivers to adjust their vehicles, improve driving skills, and stay independent. It also encourages families and caregivers to talk about safe driving and explore other transportation options if needed. This week empowers older adults to stay safe on the road and make informed choices to support their mobility and well-being.
